Women's Ministries is an opportunity for First Assembly of God to touch the lives of women by the power of Jesus Christ through outreach, ministry, and discipleship. Our desire is to reach beyond personal interests and comfort zones to embrace women of all ages, races, professions, and social standing.
We want to build an environment for women to mentor other women: provide a place where women can learn, practice biblical love, and feel the touch of Christ in a very real way.
Five-Fold Purpose:
ONE: Reach Women through the transforming power and love of Jesus Christ. (John 3:16; Mark 16:15)
TWO: Disciple women to follow Christ's example and live overcoming lives. (1 Peter 2:21-24; 1 John 5:4)
THREE: Build wholeness and balance, both spiritually and mentally, through consistent prayer and study of God's Word. (Philippians 4:6; Colossians 3:16)
FOUR: Provide an atmosphere for women to develop their gifts, abilities, and lasting relationships. (1 Corinthians 12:4)
FIVE: Train women to find their place of ministry and effectively touch their world for Christ. (Titus 2:3-5)
Our Women's Ministries is open to all adult women. Our main function is to serve each other, the church body, and our community. We offer many opportunities to serve in various capacities, including hospitality, help, prayer, outreach and visitation.
We also offer special social events throughout the year so that women can meet, fellowship, and grow spiritually. Some of these events include a welcome coffee, a fall get-away, a Christmas social, and a high tea.
